What is in an MLM?

My husband has a bad opinion of any multi level marketing company. In his view, if a product is good, there is no need to pay someone to make him buy repeatedly.

I find this theory impossible because if you have enrolled yourself in a new school MLM and with help of the internet, the possibilities to recruit have become infinite. The trick is to know the how tos.

There are countless how tos in the market. In the new school MLM which is often an online program, everybody knows that you have to have traffic directed to your affiliate website. However, if you are not careful, you will waste your money only on the how tos and never making money with the MLM.

In an MLM also, there is a question of whom do you choose to enroll with. If you have enrolled with a big enroller, the chances are that the tools that he uses to direct traffic often do not come free and if you are new, you may not want to yet spend more before making any money from your end. In addition if you have not made any money, you may not afford these luxuries.

With a big enroller also, he may not be free to focus on each individual and often the little guy gets left alone to fend for himself. With a particular big enroller whom I know, joining under him results in another request to join another program of his.

In my opinion, the first rule is to break even. Once you have done this, the product is free for you and if you want to make more money with the program, you can continue recruiting people. One of the ways that I have learnt in recruiting is to get targeted audience.

These are people who are looking for a home based job not unlike what I am doing now. The best way to find this targeted audience is to take advantage of the search engines. They are free to use and the people that use the search engines are not paid to click which are whom you should target your product to.

While selling their vitamins and such, the biggest one time commission the seller will get is from selling their water filters. So here every seller I know of theirs will speak about nothing else but their water filters.

Even though their vitamins are also working well for me, all my MLM contact wants me to buy is the water filter. She got terribly upset when I repeatedly tell her that I cannot afford it right now.

I am not surprised at her reaction because I know that she lives in a big house. The impression I got from her is that she only wants to fill up her pocket. What about my pocket? Yes I do believe that a water filter can benefit me, but if I were to spend my money on it now, I do believe that it will be a big burden for me.

How many times have you come across a truly nice salesperson? I have met some and from the good experience they gave me have really made my day.

I have always thought to myself it will be pretty good to give somebody that nice feeling. It will be a bonus if that person buys from you but if that person doesn’t, it will be a nice feeling for me too if the person leaves with a smile.

Okay I know I am being idealistic. I do have bills to pay too. But on the whole I believe that if you truly care about somebody else’s welfare, it will somehow pay for yours too.

Turning on that sub conscious

Have you experienced the Law of Attraction? I have. I think you have too except you didn’t think it was the Law of Attraction that was working for you.

Think about it. The things that are around you. Have you wanted them? Have you wished for them?

Let’s not go into the bad experiences...yet. Let’s just focus on the good things you have right now.

Have you wanted children?

I do. I remember I wanted children way back when I was a teenager, when my mom was upset and telling me off on the bad things I have done. I remember that I said to myself that when I have children, I promise that I won’t do this to my children. Bla bla bla

Well it happened. I now have two children. My wish came true. BUT if you’re wondering if I have kept my promise, no I don’t feel that I am because I now know how difficult it is to be patient with children.

Oops I digress. The point is that I did say I wanted children. I did not know how I am going to have them but here they are. Two most wonderful people I know.

But how long it took to have it realized?

About 14 years.

Some things are easier and faster. I remember when I was nine, I was crazy for the Barbie doll. I kept a picture of it under my pillow and would look at it everyday. I didn’t ask for it though (yeah I was a good girl sometimes) because at that time we didn’t have much to spend. And the magic happened, my sister got me one on her first salary.

That Barbie is the only one I have and wanted. I LOVE it.

I would have never given this a thought until I stumbled across ‘the secret’. I saw the video about the little boy who wanted the bicycle, then it dawned on me that the secret has worked on us every now and then.

Okay about the bad ones.

I don’t like to think that it was me that caused it but I did think about what would happen if my mom passed away. She passed away about 5 years after I have that thought. The good that came out of me when I realized that she was not going to live forever is that I stopped being nasty to her and I did not feel guilty when she passed on. She died at 62.

Other things I don’t remember. I do consider myself quite the optimist so my mind might have blocked the other bad stuff I might have attracted.

So my point here is that you have to put down what you want. If you don’t, you will never get it because you just won’t start.

It is the same with anything you have achieved. You have wanted it and have worked towards it.

You can start small by doing little tasks. But if you persist and persevered on the bigger, more difficult tasks, the efforts will pay off. No doubts about it.
